One person was killed in a vehicle crash Saturday morning on Dawsonville Highway at Jay Mountain Road in northern Hall County.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as Timothy Robert Hannon, 66, of Gainesville. 

Hall County emergency responders arrived at 9:20 a.m. and found a 1997 Cadillac Deville that had left the roadway while traveling westbound and collided with an embankment and several trees. The driver, the car’s only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
