North Hall commuters can expect delays through next week as they travel Thompson Bridge Road/Ga. 60 over Lake Lanier.
On Monday, Georgia Department of Transportation maintenance crews started repairing the driving surface, said Teri Pope, a DOT spokeswoman.
Crews will work 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily through Friday on the northbound lanes and then the same hours next week on the southbound lanes, Pope said.
One lane will be closed at a time on the four-lane bridge.
“It might not take a week to finish each side,” she said. “It really depends on how much they get done each day.”
