The Memorial Day holiday weekend began with only a handful of incidents on Lake Lanier and other Georgia lakes, the Department of Natural Resources reported Saturday in a news release. The state’s lone drowning occurred at Lake Nottely in Union County, an 18-year-old named Jaime Solotoz. It was not boating related.
