Deputy, two others hurt in South Hall crash

Three people, including a Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputy, suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle wreck in South Hall today.

Joshua Leigh, 37, of Gainesville was driving a Chevrolet truck when he turned right onto Spout Springs from Union Circle in front of the patrol car, driven by Deputy Marcus Scott Brown, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Brown was traveling west on Spout Springs.

Leigh, Brown and a passenger in Leigh’s car, Randy Head of Gainesville, were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, according to GSP.

The roadway in the area was shut down for a while.

Leigh was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
