Gainesville Superintendent Wanda Creel briefly reported on six potential items suggested by board member Sammy Smith. Using “pervious” material, which allows water to pass through it, for the new Enota parking lot — about 40,000 square feet — would add about $275,000 to the budget for the new school, Creel told the board. Installing 46 transom windows for classrooms — which has 27 classrooms without windows in the plans — would cost about $25,000.
