Construction of STEM Academy continues at North Hall High School
0716STEM
Workers prepare to hang acoustic ceiling tiles inside a new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics classroom Monday afternoon at North Hall High. The school’s old vocational wing is currently under renovations to become its new STEM center.
The time-intensive work is complete, and the final construction of the North Hall High School STEM facility should go quickly and be done by the beginning of the school year. The Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics academy will put a greater focus on those subject areas, ideally providing a better launching point for students who want to pursue careers in those areas. Damon Gibbs, executive director of facilities with Hall County Schools, said Monday that the renovations are a move toward “better utilizing” the space.
