Tanger Outlets in Commerce recently announced five schools as this year’s recipients of a TangerKIDS grants, including Sugar Hill Elementary School in Hall County. Bambi Willard, a teacher at the school, submitted the grant application described as “STEM it to Me!” which requested $600 for tablets and interactive education kits for the students. According to Willard, “This grant will help me to open minds to ideas that may seem ‘out of the box.’ STEM projects are fun ways to build confidence and these projects help all students to see options that they may have never before thought possible for them.”
