Newsmakers in business: White County Chamber staff duo earn state scholarships

White County Chamber of Commerce & Welcome Center staff members Cindy Bailey and Jennie Inglis were among 29 people in the state to receive scholarships from the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

GACCE awards the scholarships to help Chamber of Commerce professionals broaden their knowledge of the profession and expand their careers.

Bailey, president of the White County Chamber, received the GACCE Executive Leadership Conference funded by Georgia Transmission Corporation. The scholarship covers registration fees and room reservations at the conference coming in August.

Inglis, community development director, received a scholarship to the 2018 GACCE Staff Development Conference. It covers registration fees and room reservations at the conference set for March 2018.

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis based on the applicant’s perceived need, dedication and commitment to the Chamber profession and history of participation in GACCE functions and programs.
