Knights of Columbus Council 6920 of St. Michael Catholic Church in Gainesville has earned the distinction of being named a Star Council, one of the organization’s top awards, for the 2013-2014 fraternal year. The award recognizes overall excellence in the areas of membership recruitment and retention, promotion of the fraternal insurance program, and sponsorship of service-oriented activities. The award was presented to the membership by State Warden T. J. McCaustland at a special ceremony Nov. 15.
