Jackson EMC Foundation awards $31K to local agencies

The Jackson EMC Foundation donated $11,000 to L.A.M.P. Ministries in Gainesville for its Community Youth and Children’s program, three-month sessions that combine group counseling and community activities for at-risk youths.

The Jackson EMC Foundation board of directors awarded a total $51,000 to organizations in February, including $31,000 to local agencies serving Hall County residents.

YMCA Piedmont (Brad Akins Branch) received $15,000 for its Summer Day Camp that enables children from economically disadvantaged families to attend a day camp that provides a safe environment and nurtures quality programs.

L.A.M.P. Ministries in Gainesville received $11,000 for its Community Youth and Children’s program, three-month sessions that combine group counseling and community activities for at-risk youths.

ALS Association of Georgia and Gainesville/Hall County Community Food Pantry both received $2,500. ALS Association of Georgia provides equipment to individuals living with ALS. Gainesville/Hall County Community Food Pantry purchases food to distribute to those in need in Hall County.
