Commissioners approve boat and auto dealership on Browns Bridge
Hall County Government Center

Hall County commissioners voted Thursday to approve a boat and auto dealership at the intersection of Browns Bridge Road and Trudy Circle in Gainesville.

Laurie Dovey, who owns Crisp Boat & Auto LLC along with her husband, said she plans to install a water reclamation system to address concerns about runoff from the business. She said she has also been in contact with the state’s Environmental Protection Division about proper disposal of oil.

Joe Twiggs, who lives in the area, said Thursday he was concerned about traffic in the area and the safety of drivers turning at that intersection.

Dovey said the circular drive on the property would help people enter and leave the business more safely, and boats would be parked in a spot where they would not block the street.

“My family will be working at this business. I want to make sure they are as safe as anybody else,” she said.
