College students still getting to class, despite shortage

The current gas shortage has not stopped Gainesville State College students from getting to class, said Sloan Jones, a spokeswoman for the school.

Jones said so far, Gainesville State College has not received any complaints and has not made any scheduling changes due to the gas shortage.

"We have not had any individuals say they couldn’t make it due to the gas situation," Jones said.

Jones said she thinks students, faculty and staff at the school have been able to plan ahead and make sure they have gas.

"I think individuals I talked to in the office ... (are) planning and being more strategic," Jones said. "We’re just business as usual here."
