The Gainesville Board of Education voted 3-2 to roll up the tax rate during Monday night’s meeting. In June, the board voted to approve the fiscal year 2013 budget at a millage rate of 7.39, but voted to tentatively roll it up to 7.59 mills. The vote is for the first reading and a final vote will come after a two-week public review period.
