Cirque Italia delights audience; continues today and Sunday

Aerial acts, optical illusions, musical clowns and a mermaid delighted the audience Friday at Cirque Italia, a European-style circus performance over a stage holding 35,000 gallons of water. Performances continue this weekend at the tent set up at 2293 Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville. Show times are 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. today and 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
