Car stolen Wednesday in Gainesville armed robbery

Gainesville Police are investigating a Wednesday armed robbery in which two men allegedly stole a car from a woman at Lucky Metro Food Mart on Athens Street.

Public Information Officer Joe Britte said the Gainesville woman was getting gas around 5 p.m. when two males approached — one with a gun — and stole her 2007 maroon Hyundai Tucson.

One suspected is described as a 37-year-old white man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. The other is described as a 27-year-old black man, 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 300 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

There were no witnesses.
