A portion of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts was damaged Wednesday when a vehicle hit the building on Browns Bridge Road near the intersection of Pearl Nix Parkway.

Cpl. Joe Britte with Gainesville Police said a woman was parking at the shop when she apparently blacked out and the vehicle went into the building.

EMS responded, but the woman was not taken to the hospital. Britte said no charges are being filed.

Damage to the store included about a 3-foot section.

Jeremy Carlyle, commercial manager for the shop, said nothing on the inside was damaged but a contractor was on the way to block off the area. Damage did include a main beam, but the building did not have be evacuated, he said.
