Brenau alumna to lead Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta's marketing

Sharon Cook, who earned an MBA at Brenau University in Gainesville, has been named chief marketing officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.

She will oversee corporate communications and marketing functions for the bank, which serves commercial banks, credit unions, savings institutions, community development financial institutions and insurance companies in Washington, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia and the Carolinas.

Cook is an expert on reputation risk management, especially as it pertains to cybersecurity and the relationships banks have with social media.

Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Communications and Marketing from Georgia State University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership Development from Brenau University.
