Blalock is new compliance officer at Peach State Bank
Sarah Blalock has been promoted to compliance officer of Gainesville-based Peach State Bank & Trust.

Blalock has been in banking for 14 years, working in all areas of the bank, including teller, customer service and loan processing. She and husband, Ricky, have one daughter. They live in Gainesville.

"Ms. Blalock is a genuine asset to our Peach State team," said Ron Quinn, Peach State's president and chief executive officer. "She was the first ‘official' employee of Peach State Bank and played an instrumental part in helping with the application process to get the bank started."

N.E. Georgia Medical Center names Walker as human resources VP
James R. "Jim" Walker has been named as vice president of human resources for Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Walker joined the NGMC administrative staff in May to fill the position vacated by the retirement of Jack Fulbright. He previously held the same position for Spartanburg, S.C., Regional Healthcare System.

Walker has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in labor and human resources from Ohio State University. He is affiliated with the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Healthcare Association, American Society of Hospital Human Resources Administrators and the Society for Human Resources Management.

Walker and his wife, Erika, have one son and a grandson.
