Jacobs Media expands ‘Game On,’ among other changes

“Game On with Katie B. Davis,” a sports talk program on WDUN, is expanding to three hours and changing radio stations for Jacobs Media.

Also, Russell Brown has been named the new host of WDUN’s “Afternoon News Wrap,” a two-hour daily program of news and information. He will replace Derreck Booth, whose role in managing the newsroom is expanding.

Both changes are effective Aug. 3.

Davis’ show is moving to 1240-AM ESPN Radio, the company’s all-sports station, and will air from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Besides broadcasting on the over-the-air station, “Game On with Katie B. Davis” also will be available via live streaming on, and the AccessWDUN smartphone app.

In addition to hosting the expanded program, Davis will also provide sports reports each half hour during “Morning News with Bill & Joel,” which airs 5:30-9 a.m. on WDUN AM-550 and FM-102.9.

Davis also hosts “The Burger King Tailgate Show” and “The Hardy Chevrolet Scoreboard Show” during high school football season.

Brown comes WDUN from CBT News in Atlanta, where he spent three years as lead anchor for the network’s daily video broadcast highlighting retail automotive industry news.

Ebner joins staff at NGPG Braselton Family Medicine

Dr. Charlotte Ebner is joining the staff of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Braselton Family Medicine.

She has practiced medicine in Georgia for several years. Ebner earned her medical degree from the Georgia Campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her post-graduate training in family medicine at Spartanburg Medical Center.

She is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.

Daniel, Hartley named to board for AGC Georgia

Brian Daniel and Dan Hartley have been named to the 2015-16 Associated General Contractors of Georgia Board of Directors.

Daniel, president of Gainesville-based Carroll Daniel Construction Co., will begin his three-year term. Hartley, president of Hartley Construction Co., will continue serving on the board.

Both have served terms in the past.

AGC Georgia’s Board of Directors is comprised of 31 members from across the state.
