Olive Garden manager earns recognition for second time

Winston Williams, general manager of the Olive Garden in Gainesville, has attained Darden Restaurants’ Diamond Club status.

Each year, general managers throughout North America who demonstrate outstanding results by showing strong and inspiring leadership while also achieving top financial performance in the company’s previous fiscal year are recognized. This is the second time Williams has received this recognition.

“Winston is an exceptional leader who values every team member and guest,” said Dave George, president of Olive Garden. “He is committed to being a role model to his team by consistently going above and beyond to provide for his guests. Through Winston’s leadership, the Gainesville Olive Garden is a restaurant where guests can enjoy a great meal and feel at home.”

This year, Williams joins an elite group of 38 general managers, selected from more than 800 Olive Garden restaurants in North America.

The Gainesville Olive Garden is at 1175 Dawsonville Highway.

Long-time Peach State Bank & Trust employee promoted to branch manager, banking officer

Jamie Robertson has been promoted to branch manager and banking officer at Peach State Bank & Trust’s office at 325 Washington St. in Gainesville, Ron Quinn, president and chief executive officer, has announced.

An 18-year banking veteran, Robertson began her career as a customer service representative and has since worked on the teller line and loan processing departments. She completed her Automated Clearing House certification in the fall of 2013. She also is an integral part of the bank’s electronic banking division offering Internet banking, bill pay, mobile banking, ACH services, cash management and remote deposit services.

“I am pleased to announce Jamie’s promotion,” Quinn said. “She was an original member of our bank team and continues to play a vital role in our success.”

New doctor joins Longstreet’s Center for Women’s Health

Crystal A. Terrill has joined the Center for Women’s Health at The Longstreet Clinic in Gainesville.

Terrill earned her bachelor’s degree at Auburn University and her medical degree at the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Medical College of Central Georgia, where she also served as chief resident.

Terrill is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association, among others.

As the 13th physician to join the Center for Women’s Health team, Terrill will provide a wide range of obstetrical and gynecological services from well woman exams and cancer screenings to pregnancy care and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
