Lumite Inc. is expanding by more than 100,000 square feet in Alto, allowing the company to consolidate its Baldwin converting facility.
The manufacturer of monofilament and multifilament engineered fabrics for liquid filtration, erosion control, horticultural and recreational applications will boost its Alto operation to 350,000 square feet, provide a state-of-the-art warehouse and construct a new corporate office building. The company expects to complete the work in March.
“This multimillion dollar investment reinforces our customer commitment to provide timely service, excellent quality and the capacity to accommodate future growth opportunities” said Lumite President Ron Rooks.
“Our highly skilled workforce and vast network of industry leaders create an ideal environment for high-tech companies such as Lumite Inc. to thrive,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr. “This expansion is a sure sign that our advanced manufacturing industry is growing and our pro-business climate helps existing companies flourish here.”
