CiCi's Market opens in North Hall

CiCi's Market celebrated its grand opening Saturday at 4110 Cleveland Highway near Jim Hood Road.

The retail shop, owned by Cinda Hulsey, is a Texaco facility offering three gas grades available, a diesel island and propane. It also offers upscale convenience products with a full-size kitchen with homemade food daily, including biscuits, chicken and hot dogs. A flat-screen TV is available for customers who dine in, and takeout orders are offered as well.

Gainesville broker joins Bull Realty as vice president

Gainesville native Russell Dye has joined Bull Realty, an Atlanta-based real estate brokerage firm, as vice president of the North Georgia office.

Dye has been in the real estate business in the area for 10 years and has handled various types of commercial transactions, from raw land to industrial buildings. He will focus on brokerage, land and site acquisitions and development.

"I wanted to bring clients the combination of local knowledge and relationships with the marketing power of Bull Realty. Bull's marketing platform is working very well in the cycle," Dye said.

Dye is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Georgia State University Real Estate Alumni, the Gainesville Jaycees and is a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.

Bull Realty is a full-service commercial firm with three offices, 32 brokers and 10 staff members.

Watkins to serve as VP for Georgia chiropractors group

Mary Watkins of Gainesville was elected second vice president of the Georgia Chiropractic Association during the group's 98th annual Conference & Trade Show Oct. 22-24 in Atlanta.

The new officers will guide and conduct business on behalf of the association and set legislative priorities. The group's new president is Richard Gadd of Fort Oglethorpe.

SBDC, Dawson Chamber offer business class Nov. 9

A new business seminar, "Starting a Business — The Basics," is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Dawson County Library, 342 Allen St., Dawsonville.

The free workshop is offered by The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce and the Gainesville Area office of the Small Business Development Center.
