Gainesville native Guest promoted to GM by LAD Truck Lines

LAD Truck Lines Inc. employee Mack Holland "Dutch" Guest IV, a Gainesville employee, was promoted to general manager earlier this month.

Guest joined LAD in 2007 in the company's warehouse and transportation areas. Prior to that, he worked at Northeast Sales Co. in Winder.

Originally from Gainesville, Dutch graduated from North Hall High School and attended Valdosta State University and North Georgia College. He and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, reside in Watkinsville with their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth.

Two other leaders received promotions from LAD Truck Lines. Judson Guest of Oconee County was promoted from vice president to executive vice president.

Steven Haugabook of Watkinsville was been promoted from general manager to vice president.

"Judson, Steven, and Dutch have worked hard to build our business and establish us as a leader in the transportation industry," said Mack H. Guest III, president of Watkinsville-based LAD. "We appreciate all of their hard work, and look forward to their contributions in the future."

Gainesville branch of TRC Services honored as Franchise of Year

TRC Staffing Services Inc. has awarded its Gainesville branch operated by Doug Langman as Franchise of the Year.

The award recognizes the franchisee for year-to-year growth, staff stability and adherence to the company system. Langman was among 20 franchise owners chosen. He earned the honor for the third time in five years.

"I am honored and humbled to accept the Franchise of the Year aware for TRC," Langman said. "We will continue to earn this recognition by striving to provide the best service in the staffing industry to our clients."

"We were pleased to present Doug Langman and his team this award and look forward to seeing what great things he will do in 2011," said Steve Sanders, senior vice president of the franchise division for TRC. which provides traditional staffing, executive search and management services.
