Buford banker Allen chosen executive VP for Macon's State Bank
J. Michael Allen has been chosen executive vice president and senior credit officer at State Bank & Trust Co. in Macon.
Allen served as president and CEO of Georgia Trust Bancshares Inc. and Georgia Trust Bank Inc. in Buford since 2004.
Allen is originally from Gray, and graduated with a B.B.A. in 1978 from Georgia College and State University. He received his MBA in 1982.
Allen's office is located at State Bank's Corporate Center, 4219 Forsyth Road, Macon.
Insurance agency earns top company honors
Flowery Branch's Karl Boling has had his insurance agency been designated a Premier Service Agency for 2010 by Allstate.
The honor is given to less than 30 percent of the company's nearly 1,200 agencies nationwide. It recognizes Boling for "his commitment to exceeding customer expectations in their agency."
