Gainesville's Simpson is new president of international real estate group

Gainesville's Frank N. Simpson was elected the 2011 president of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute, an international commercial real estate organization with 15,000 members worldwide.

Simpson is president of The Simpson Company, a Gainesville real estate firm. He was installed as president of the institute at its fall business meetings last month in Orlando, Fla. He becomes the organization's 45th president and the fourth from Georgia.

A 24-year commercial real estate veteran, Simpson has developed several office and industrial buildings in the region. He served as the 2004 president of the 300-member Georgia CCIM Chapter. He serves on the Economic Development Council of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and is founding president of the Hall County YMCA. He has also served on the Brenau University Advisory Board and numerous nonprofit boards of directors.
