The unemployment rate in Hall County rose to 7.6 percent in June, up from 6.9 percent in May, the Georgia Department of Labor announced today. The jobless rate in metro Gainesville was 7.9 percent in June a year ago. It marks the third straight month the rate increased in Hall after it fell to 6.8 percent in March.
