Chamber to hold marketing seminar

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will hold a small business seminar from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the chamber offices at 230 E.E. Butler Parkway.

Gordon Sawyer of Sawyer Innovations will present “Hard Marketing in a Soft Market.” Sawyer is founder and retired chairman of Sawyer, Riley, Compton, an advertising agency founded in Gainesville and later moved to Atlanta. He is currently chairman of the board of Red Clay Interactive, an Internet consulting firm.

Sawyer will address the basics of building a business, out-maneuvering the competition and implementing marketing methods for success.

The small business seminars are free for chamber members, $10 for guests, and cover a wide variety of issues and subjects of interest to small business owners and managers.
