The Hall County Extension Service and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will honor those who have contributed to agriculture and agribusiness at the 14th Annual Agribusiness Recognition Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the East Hall Community Center.
Hall County agriculture generated $264 million in farm income in 2008. It is Georgia's No. 1 industry, representing more than $10 billion in farm income in 2008.
The event is open to the public and reservations can be made through the extension office at 770-535-8293.
Allstate leases at Thompson Bridge Commons
Weingarten Realty has announced that Allstate Insurance is leasing 1,157 square feet of space in Thompson Bridge Commons shopping center.
Situated at the intersection of Thompson Bridge and Mount Vernon Roads, the center is anchored by Kroger, which has expanded to more than 73,000 square feet.
Chamber to hold Business Before Hours
The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business Before Hours from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday at Best Buy, 670 Dawsonville Highway.
The event is open to chamber members and guests and includes breakfast and networking opportunities.
Founded in 1966, Best Buy is the world's largest specialty electronics retailer. In 2004, "Best Buy for Business" was introduced to provide businesses with industry specific products and knowledge.
