A boat near Burton Mill Park on Lake Lanier had a window shot out by an unknown suspect Saturday afternoon, according to authorities. No one was injured.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21.
“Based on statements of the boat’s occupants, the shot is believed to have been fired from the shoreline in the area of Blackberry Lane,” according to the sheriff’s office.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ rangers and Georgia State Patrol aviation assisted the deputies in the search, but authorities were unable to locate a shooter “or any evidence anywhere along the shoreline where the shot is believed to have come from,” according to the sheriff’s office.
