Hall County turns 200 this year, and an April sculpture exhibit and a July birthday party are both in the works for 2018. Georgia had been a state for only about 30 years in 1818, when the county’s boundaries were set and the land named for Lyman Hall, a Georgia delegate and signer of the Declaration of Independence.
