A West Hall convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Friday night, and authorities are looking for the lone suspect.

The suspect entered the Exxon Food Mart in the 5000 block of Browns Bridge Road/Ga.369 and approached two employees and demanded cash, according to a Hall County Sheriff’s Office press release.

"The employees gave the robber some cash, but the robber proceeded to remove cash from the register drawer himself," the release states.

The robber left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the incident, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office, which responded to the scene at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 24, described the robber as a white or Hispanic man who is 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet to 8 inches tall and heavyset. He was wearing jeans, a black hoodie and a black mask.

"No vehicle description is available at this time," according to the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 770-533-7187.
