Avita to consolidate office locations

Avita Community Partners of Flowery Branch will consolidate its three Hall County locations into two over the next several weeks.

Avita operates Hall County offices at 2318 Browns Bridge Road, 3509 Mabry Road and 915 Interstate Ridge Drive. The Browns Bridge Road location will be closed, its services split between the other two sites.

Avita also plans to expand and renovate the Interstate Ridge Drive office.

"We will be moving our more intensive programs, such as ambulatory detoxification and adult psychiatric care, to Mabry Road, while our adult outpatient services will move to the Interstate Ridge location," said Dr. Jon Rubenow, medical director for Avita.

Avita’s customers have been notified of the move through a letter and postings at the Browns Bridge Road location. The company says the move will not result in reduction of services or direct care staff.

"This reorganization not only will allow us to be more efficient in our delivery of services to our consumers, but also provide them easier physical access to our facilities," says Gerry Cyranowski, director of Services for Avita. "It also will allow Avita to reduce overhead, which we can redirect into our service provision."

Avita Community Partners was formed in 1993 by the state legislature to serve persons suffering from mental illness, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases.

It serves a 13-county area of northeast Georgia.
