A Murrayville man shot a woman to death on Nov. 29, according to warrants in the case. John Harol Whitfield, 52, was arrested at a Clermont home Saturday, four days after authorities say he shot Wanda Kay McDougald with a .45 caliber firearm. Her body was found Sunday in the woods along Ga. 60 north of Dahlonega, about 1 mile south of the Union County line.
