A shooting was reported a little after 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 3424 Jet-Wright Road off Dawsonville Highway in northwest Hall County.

Authorities say a father shot and killed his daughter’s boyfriend after the boyfriend shot her in the back early Sunday in northwest Hall County.

No charges had yet been filed Monday, but the District Attorney’s office will review the case, according to a statement released by Scott Ware, public information officer for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported a little after 4:30 a.m. at 3424 Jet-Wright Road off Dawsonville Highway, and investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s office executed a search warrant at the home, according to the statement

Investigators concluded that Thomas McNulty, 25, shot his girlfriend, Jessica Rusk, 22, in the back following an argument. Her father, Floyd Rusk, allegedly shot and killed McNulty. Floyd Rusk also lives in the home.

Ware said Jessica Rusk was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she was in stable condition Monday.

The Sheriff's Office said there are no other suspects or witnesses.
