Athens Highway in East Hall back open after closure for fires

A pair of East Hall residential fires have led to backed-up traffic on Athens Highway/U.S. 129 in the 3300 block of the road. Fire operations led to the road being closed in both directions for about an hour and a half before it reopened about 5:20 p.m., Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett wrote in an email.
