If you’ve been wondering about something in your community, Ask The Times is your place to get answers. The following question was submitted by a reader and answered through the efforts of our news staff.

When will we get the fitness center on Dawsonville Highway?

Matt Tate, Gainesville planning manager, said the fitness center that was supposed to be coming to Dawsonville Highway has canceled its plans to settle into the site.

The fitness center originally aimed to encompass 22,000 square feet, and be built near  Beechwood Boulevard and North Lake Square shopping center.

The name of the fitness center was never officially disclosed.

“I’m not sure why they backed off,” Tate said.

He said as of now, no one else has announced their intentions of adding a business to the lot.
