John Breakfield, a Flowery Branch resident and Gainesville attorney, has been sworn in by Gov. Nathan Deal as one of three citizen members of the Georgia State Properties Commission and Georgia Building Authority.
The seven-member board is chaired by the governor. The State Properties Commission votes on various projects and purchases regarding state-owned land and long-term leases.
As the Building Authority, the group votes on projects regarding the Capitol grounds and surrounding government buildings.
Breakfield is Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle’s appointment to the commission.
