Gainesville is moving forward with annexing property along Ahaluna Drive, a result of an agreement with Hall County to avoid litigation, after the Planning and Appeals Board signed off on the proposal Tuesday night. The City Council must still vote to approve the annexation. Gainesville and Hall County reached an agreement last fall to allow for the development of a 199-lot upscale subdivision off Ahaluna Drive in Gainesville, near the shores of Lake Lanier, to proceed.
