Police were hunting for man in area to serve warrant

Four Gainesville City schools were temporarily locked down Thursday afternoon. The lockdown at Gainesville High School, Centennial Arts Academy and the Fair Street-Wood’s Mill complex occurred while Gainesville police searched the neighborhoods surrounding the schools for a robbery suspect. Cpl. Joe Britte said police are seeking Rytavious “Tay” Ellison in order to serve him a warrant in connection with a robbery that occurred a couple of months ago.
