A 3-year-old child died after being pinned between two cars in an Ingles parking lot in Cleveland on Tuesday afternoon, according to Georgia State Patrol.

The driver involved faces DUI and vehicular homicide charges.

Easton Cain, of Cleveland, was standing Tuesday afternoon at the rear of a parked and unoccupied Ford Explorer at the Helen Highway store.

A Chevrolet Avalanche driven by James Holcomb, 36, of Cleveland, struck Cain, according to state patrol. The car then struck the back of the Ford Explorer.

“(Cain) was pinned between the front of (the Chevrolet Avalanche) and the rear of (the Ford Explorer,” according to state patrol.

Holcomb was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, reckless driving and not having insurance. He was uninjured in the crash.
