Three people, including an infant, were killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon on Ga. 347/Friendship Road near Jones Drive, according to authorities.

Hannah Simmons, 23, of Gainesville, was driving a Subaru Legacy westbound on Friendship Road in the right lane, while Dana Collins, 61, from Lilburn, traveled eastbound in a Ford truck.

“(Simmons) lost control of the steering, causing the vehicle to strike a concrete curb along the right side of (Friendship Road),” according to Georgia State Patrol. “(The Subaru) then traveled over the center concrete median while rotating counterclockwise into the path of the (Ford truck).”

The front of Collins’ truck hit Simmons’ car on the passenger’s side.

Simmons’ passenger, Lauren Buteau, 28, of Gainesville, and Simmons died at the wreck scene.

Simmons’ daughter A’lannah Hopkins was transported by Hall County EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Collins did not suffer any major injuries, according to state patrol.
