Qualifying ends today for two open seats on the Flowery Branch City Council. Elizabeth Monica Beatty of Waterstone Crossing is the first to file papers to qualify for the Post 5 seat. Qualifying ends at 4:30 p.m. at Flowery Branch City Hall, 5517 Main St. The election to fill Post 1, held by Damon Gibbs, and Post 5, held by Tara Richards, will be on June 16.
