Three people were killed in traffic accidents in Hall County during the July Fourth holiday weekend, including two teenagers on Monday.

About 2 p.m., a Jeep driven by a 19-year-old left Whelchel Mill Road, overturned and the occupants were ejected, the Georgia State Patrol reported.

Christian J. Walker, 16, of Cumming, and Brandon Jay Hodges, 14, of Lawrenceville, were killed.
They were unrestrained passengers in a Jeep that left the road in a curve on the dirt road, GSP said.

The Jeep hit an embankment and overturned several times.

There were three other injuries.

GSP said it and the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team are investigating the accident.

Charges against the driver are pending completion of the investigation.

Meanwhile, a man killed in a Sunday afternoon accident on Oak Street in Gainesville was identified as 41-year-old Harry Anthony Drasutis of Birmingham, Ala., who was in town visiting family.

Drasutis was driving a motorcycle southbound about 5:24 p.m. when he lost control negotiating a curve on Oak Street, said officer Kevin Holbrook, Gainesville Police spokesman.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash, Holbrook said.

Drasutis was pronounced dead at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
