2 charged with attempted burglary

The Gainesville Police Department has arrested a teenager and a juvenile charged in connection with an attempted burglary of a home on Blue Ridge Drive.

Peter Andrew Breslin, 17, was charged with criminal trespass and criminal attempt to commit burglary and booked into the Hall County Detention Center, according to Gainesville police spokesman Cpl. Joe Britte.

The juvenile, whose gender and age were not made available, faced the same charges and was released into a parent’s custody, Britte said.

The two suspects were seen acting suspiciously by a resident, a member of the Gainesville Police Department’s Valley Road Neighborhood Watch Group. The resident called 911 and was able to provide a description of the suspects and their vehicle.

Police arrested the two without incident.
