Hall County sheriff's investigators charged two Atlanta area men Monday with trafficking marijuana after 60 pounds of the drug was seized from a vehicle parked at a business on Atlanta Highway in Gainesville.

Semajal Jackson, 34, of Atlanta, and Michael Thomas, 24, of Decatur, were arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail. Jackson is also being held on an outstanding bench warrant issued by DeKalb County for failure to appear.

Investigators arrested the suspects in the parking lot of Angel de Bebe.

Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks with the Hall County Sheriff's Office said the suspects are connected to the business, but what their connection is remains unclear.

"The marijuana was actually in a truck, some sort of delivery vehicle, but it was there at the store," Wilbanks said.

The street value of the marijuana is estimated at $72,000. A set of digital scales also was seized.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division.
