One person was being treated for minor smoke inhalation after a residential fire in Gainesville, city fire officials said.

The fire at E.E. Butler Parkway and Atlanta Street had been knocked down shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Gainesville Fire Department spokesman Keith Smith said.
