A two-vehicle wreck on Browns Bridge Road injured two people and blocked the major Gainesville roadway for approximately half an hour Monday afternoon, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Monday when 21-year-old Kristina Goldsmith pulled her 1994 Honda Civic into the path of a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban on Browns Bridge Road.

Both Goldsmith and the driver of the Suburban, 57-year-old Catherine Nalley of Gainesville, were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, according to Col. Jeff Strickland, chief deputy of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Goldsmith was charged with failure to yield, Strickland said.
