Miss Jennifer Lee Sweetman and Mr. Matthew Edward Carney were united in marriage at 2 p.m. June 7, 2008, at Gainesville First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sweetman of Clermont. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Carney of Clermont.

The Rev. Clifford Rigby performed the ceremony. Pianist Mr. B.J. Mahar and vocalist Miss Stephanie Caldwell presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's friend Miss Ashleigh Kubitz of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Miss Brittany Green of Norcross and Miss Alison Hudgins of Gainesville and the bride's cousin Miss Lynlee Grisham of Birmingham, Ala. The bride's cousin Miss Madison Chirico of Dundee, Mich., was the flower girl.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother Mr. Christopher Sweetman of Acworth and the groom's brothers Mr. Jason Carney of Calhoun and Mr. Michael Carney of Clermont. The bride's cousins Masters Jonathan and Nathan Fields of Tampa, Fla., were the ring bearers.

Mrs. Angie Parker was the wedding coordinator. Miss April Brown kept the bride's book.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the Lodge on Apple Pie Ridge in Alto on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia Island in the Caribbean, the couple reside in Clermont.
