Anna Marie Stevenson and Michael Ryan Carithers were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. June 6, 2009, at The Tate House in Tate. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Willie Mae Stevenson of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mike and Melissa Carithers of Watkinsville.
The bride's uncle Charles Bloodworth performed the ceremony. Harpist Lisa Handman presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's cousin Robin Mack of Orangeburg, S.C., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Kelly Wragg, Torri Keller and Hanna Martin, all of Gainesville, Carey Ragan of Maysville, and the brides cousin Lindsey Stevenson of Melborne, Fla. The bride's cousins Morgan and Reagan McMahon of Irmo, S.C., were the flower girls.
The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Corey Tiller, Brandon Houseman, Chris Spencer, Gary Huckaby, all of Watkinsville, and Clay Durham of Athens. The bride's cousins Davis and John Mack of Orangeburg, S.C., were the ring bearers. Ushers were Ryan Hodges and Stark Deaton.
The bride carried the groom's first Bible in her bouquet and wore her grandmother's engagement ring and her mother's necklace.
The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Smith House in Dahlonega on the eve of the wedding.
The bride's parents gave a reception at The Tate House following the ceremony.
The couple reside in Jefferson.
