Crystal Darlene Pocock and Thomas James Godfrey were united in marriage at noon May 10, 2014, at Forrest Hills Resort in Dahlonega. The bride is the daughter of Paul and Darlene Pocock of Gainesville. The groom is the son of the late James and Karen Godfrey.
Minister Vick Disharoon performed the ceremony.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Amanda Gibbs of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom’s sister Tammie Matty of Wooster, Ohio, the bride’s friends Kristine Cleere of Oakwood, and Jessica Fuller of Gainesville, and the bride’s sister-in-law Priscilla Pocock of Gainesville. The bride’s friend Angelina Esola of Canton was the flower girl.
The groom’s cousin Colin Hutton of Dawsonville was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s cousins Kevin Powell of Akron, Ohio, and Bob Moore of Canton, and the groom’s friends Shawn Pocock of Gainesville, and Justin Pocock of Oakwood. The bride’s nephew Jackson Pocock of Gainesville was the ring bearer. Tim Esola was an usher.
The bride wore her great-grandmother’s brooch on her dress and carried the rosary of her grandmother, Fay Pocock.
The brides’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.
The bride and groom gave a reception at Forrest Hills Resort in Dahlonega following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Auburn.
